Review of Rimutaka Hill Road Signage

Monday, May 9, 2016

Wairarapa MP Alastair Scott is welcoming the news that the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) will be undertaking a comprehensive review of signage on the Rimutaka Hill Road.

“I was receiving a lot of feedback about the Rimutaka Hill Road through facebook and online surveys. Although there are a number of issues, the most common complaint was about slower drivers not using the stopping bays,” Mr Scott says.

As a result of local feedback, NZTA will be reviewing signage on the road to determine whether more signage is needed to encourage slower drivers to make better use of the stopping bays.

“I look forward to NZTA’s review which I expect will result in better flowing traffic on the road,” Mr Scott says.
